CowShell's service greatly helps
with daily calving management,
making our work more productive and efficient
I grew up watching my dad run a small farm, working hard every day. That inspired me to study livestock management in college and dream of becoming a full-time farmer.

Now, I manage about 600 breeding cattle and around 3,000 beef cattle. I’m working on expanding and modernizing our farm to make it more efficient. Some people might think it’s a big farm, but around here, it’s mid-sized, and it takes a lot of effort to keep growing.

With so many cows, there are lots of things to keep track of. It’s tough to focus on the key points, so we’re always looking to bring in more automated equipment to make things easier.

Calving management is something we handle almost every day, and it takes a lot of time and attention. That’s where CowShell comes in — it really helps us boost productivity and stay efficient.

CowShell has been a reliable help,
guiding me through calf management
and making it easier to take care of the farm
A few years ago, I left city life behind and started running a beef cattle farm in the countryside. Since the initial investment took a long time to pay off, I had to take on other jobs as well. Eventually, I also started raising breeding cattle, which provided a quicker return on investment.

My wife works in the city, and our child goes to school there, so we live in an apartment. In the early spring of my second year, one of my cows went into labor, and I waited anxiously for hours for the calf to be born. As time went on, night fell, and I became tired and hungry. Thinking I had a bit of time, I drove home—about 15 minutes away—for a quick dinner and shower. By the time I rushed back to the farm, I found the mother cow exhausted and, sadly, the calf had suffocated.

At that moment, with limited experience and no one else to help, I felt utterly overwhelmed. I remember feeling lost and helpless, almost on the verge of tears.

Having a tool that could assist farmers during calving would be a great source of support for us.

Scientific post-calving care
for better quality and profits,
finding economic satisfaction with CowShell
When my grown children, now with families of their own, come home for the holidays, I’m often amazed to see just how large our family has become. Though our farm is modest in size, seeing how many years we’ve been raising cattle makes me reflect on how far we’ve come.

When I started running the farm on my own, I began with around 50 breeding cows, and my younger brother, who studied IT, helped me set up some computer-based systems. Over the years, our herd grew to over 100 cows.

These days, I’ve tried using a few foreign livestock management tools, but they often feel overly complex and pricey. Managing the herd and keeping up with the fresh cows’ needs without reliable support has been challenging.

With CowShell, I’m optimistic about adopting scientific post-calving care that’s straightforward, affordable, and practical. It helps me improve the quality and profits of my farm,

making it a rewarding experience.
